The Generation of the Time of the End, who are they?

In light of the following scriptures, which generation were first John the Baptist, then Jesus speaking of?

John the Baptist first spoke, about the wrath to come.
Just what wrath was he speaking of which was to come, why was his warning them of this wrath so important?

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, (O GENERATION OF VIPERS), who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Luke 3:7
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, (O GENERATION OF VIPERS), (WHO HATH WARNED YOU TO FLEE FROM THE WRATH TO COME)?

We have to take into account, Jesus’ ministry was to the Jewish People (Nation).
It was prophesied about Him in the Old Testament, as being the Messiah to the Jews.
Then Jesus ultimately becoming the Savior of the world, by their rejection of God’s Messiah.
Jesus spoke many times during his ministry using the term “this generation”, always in relation to the generation alive at that time.
I have capitalized for emphasis.

But whereunto shall I liken (THIS GENERATION)? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,

34.) (O GENERATION OF VIPERS), how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
39.) But he answered and said unto them, (AN EVIL AND ADULREROUS GENERATION) seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
41.) The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with (THIS GENERATION, AND SHALL CONDEMN IT): because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, (BEHOLD, A GREATER THAN JONAS IS HERE).
42.) The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with (THIS GENERATION, AND SHALL CONDEMN IT): for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, (BELOLD, A GREATER THAN SOLOMON IS HERE).
45.) Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

(A WICKED AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION) seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Then Jesus answered and said, (O FAITHLESS AND PERVERSE GENERATION), how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

33.) (Ye serpents, YE GENERATION OF VIPERS, HOW CAN YOU ESCAPE) the damnation of hell?

Mark 8:12,38
12.) And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth (THIS GENERATION) seek after a sign?
verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto THIS GENERATION.
when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Mark 9:19
He answereth him, and saith, (O FAITHLESS GENERATION), how long shall I be with you? how long
shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

Mark 13:30

Luke 7:31
And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of (THIS GENERATION)? and to what are they like?

Luke 9:41
And Jesus answering said, (O FAITHLESS AND PERVERSE GENERATION), how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

Luke 11:29-32,50,51
29.) And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, (THIS IS AN EVIL GENERATION: THEY SEEK AFTER A SIGN; AND THERE SHALL NO SIGN BE GIVEN IT), but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
30.) For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, (SO SHALL ALSO THE SON OF MAN BE TO THIS GENERATION).
31.) The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of (THIS GENERATION, AND CONDEMN THEM): for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, (BEHOLD, A GREATER THAN SOLOMON IS HERE).
32.) The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with (THIS GENERATION, AND SHALL CONDEMN IT):
for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, (BEHOLD, A GREATER THAN JONAS IS HERE).

50.) (THAT THE BLOOD OF ALL THE PROPHETS), which was shed from the foundation of the world, (MAY BE REQUIRED OF THIS GENERATION),
51.) From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, (IT SHALL BE REQUIRED OF THIS GENERATION).

Luke 17:25
But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected of (THIS GENERATION).

Luke 21:32

Paul says:
1Co 10:11
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written( FOR OUR ADMONITION, UPON WHOM THE ENDS OF THE WORLD ARE COME).

Prophecy of Jesus
Mat 24:14

Mar 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and (PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE).

Fulfillment of Jesus prophecy

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and (WHICH “WAS” PREACHED TO EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN); whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Prophecy of Jesus
Luk 21:24
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, (UNTIL THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES BE FULFILLED).

Fulfillment of Jesus prophecy

For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as (I AM “THE” APOSTLE OF THE GENTILES), I magnify mine office:

Prophecy of Daniel
Dan 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, (SHUT UP THE WORDS), and (SEAL THE BOOK), even to the (TIME OF THE END): many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

The Revelation of John
Rev 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for (THE TIME IS AT HAND).

Rev 22:10
And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for (THE TIME IS AT HAND).

Rev 5:2-5,9
2) And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy (TO OPEN THE BOOK), and to (LOOSE THE SEALS THEREOF)?
3) And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4) And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5) And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the (LION OF JUDA), the (ROOT OF DAVID), (HATH PREVAILED TO OPEN THE BOOK), and to (LOOSE THE SEVEN SAELS THEREOF).

9) And they sung a new song, saying, (THOU ART WORTHY TO TAKE THE BOOK), and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Why does Peter make this statement, what End was he speaking of?

1Pe 4:7
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

What you have posted, with your links, make absolutely no sense what so ever.
First they do not relate to the subject of the Blog, your on a completely different subject, why not write a blog on this subject, of your own.

The book of “The Revelation of John”, is confusing enough with all of its metaphors, you make in impossible to understand by dragging Chinese History, and Mythology into the mix.

If you have something to say about “The Generation”, who they are, and why you have such a belief, then there is room for discussion.

In this case, the new opinion, is false teaching.

      In regard to your statement.
“This article etches the surprising similarities, draws parallels between legend of Liu Bang, his unnamed mother and Revelation 12, and The Queen of the South [Mathew 12:42],”

This is what Mat.12:42 actually says
      Mat 12:42
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

The reference to the Queen of the south, is of “The Queen of Sheba” which heard of the wisdom of Solomon.
The reference was made to the Jewish Nation by Jesus, that the Queen of Sheba came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, but the Jewish people would not listen to or accept Jesus as the Messiah, because he “IS” greater than Solomon, and the Queen of Sheba would rise up in judgement against the Jewish people.
That is all it is about.

Here is the story from the Old Testament.
      2Ch 9:1-3
      1) And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
      2) And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.
      3) And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,

The Legend of “Liu Bang and his unnamed mother”, is just that “Legend.”
The Old Testament, is the actual History of the world from the Creation, and the History of the Jewish Nation, the chosen people of the Creator.
The New Testament Gospels, are the actual accounts of four men which walked with Jesus, seeing first hand His entire Ministry, from start to finish, then the books of the Apostles teachings.
There isn’t any part of the entire Bible which even touches upon Legend, it is all TRUTH.

You know this story from Jesus.
      Mat. 9:16
No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

It is the same thing, if you put Legend together with Truth, it will detract from the truth and people will tend to not believe the truth any more, that is what could be called, a wile of the wicked one, (discredit the truth).

Matthew 12:42 The queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.
        (1) Because you are talking about generation.
‘The queen of the south will rise at the judgment with this generation. that why I comment this topic which you are talking about end time generation.

        (2) She came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, but Sheba did not came from the ends of the earth.
The Bible said here: ‘listen to Solomon’s wisdom’, not ‘meet with Solomon’.
        (3) Liu Bang and his mother was true history, it was not a legend. Liu Bang was one of the emperor of Han Dynasty.

(Anyway, i possible have posted to the wrong person. You have your own faithfulness, I am not going to say whether it is wrong or right. But while I am spreading the messages from God, I am sure I have to talk to everyone, and from all of them, to find someone who believe it. )
When Jesus started to spread his words to everyone, not everyone listened to him too.

        • lookinforacity says:

          These are your words.

“This article etches the surprising similarities, draws parallels between legend of Liu Bang”

“The embellishment of the legend with the materialisation of a Red Dragon over the head of Liu Bang’s mother before the discovery of her pregnancy and during her delivery, bore striking resemblance to Revelation 12.”

You cannot combine untruth (legend) and Truth (The Bible) and come up with a new truth.

          1. A nonhistorical or unverifiable story handed down by tradition from earlier times and popularly accepted as historical.
          2. The body of stories of this kind, especially as they relate to a particular people, group, or clan:

          1. Legend, myth refer to fictitious stories, usually handed down by tradition.

          2. Legend, is applied to any fictitious story, sometimes involving the supernatural, and usually concerned with a real person, place, or other subject:

          3. A myth is one of a class of stories, usually concerning gods, semi-divine heroes, etc.,

When you attempt to take the threads of the legend of Liu Bang, and the threads of the Bible, and weave them together, into a new piece of fabric, that is the point where everything you are attempting to say is lost.

It sounds like you are saying the story of the un-named mother of Liu Bang, and the Red Dragon over her head, before Liu Bang’s birth, all point to His being DIETY.

I can see you have devoted many, many hours in the compiling of your theory, but everything you say is conjecture, assumption, supposition, nothing you say can be verified as truth.

You need to understand, that when reading the bible, Old or new Testaments, you will never need to go to outside sources to find the answerers, or verify Gods’ word.
God placed within the covers of the bible all the answers we need to know, if you cannot find them within the pages of the bible, then God does not want you to know the answer until it is time to know it, when He reveals it to everyone.

Don’t spend so much time in a futile attempt of solving the understanding of The Revelation.
          Jesus said.
          Mat. 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

            Dear lookinforacity,
First of all, thanks for the explanation of Legend to me. It is my mistake to use the word of ‘legend’, not the word of ‘real story’.
Secondly, I fully and strong support your opinion, we could not change any word of the bible and go to outside source.

But revelation is a prophecy, and the real history of human beings will fulfill the prophecy, if you have patience to finish reading my manuscript of ‘the woman of revelation 12’, you will understand that what I am trying is not change any word of the Bible, but just want to find out what real history fulfill the bible’s prophecy.

The relating of Mat. 12:42 in my blog, I was asking “Who was the Generation Jesus was speaking of”, “who is the End Time Generation?”

Not where the Queen of the south came from, or where the ends of the earth actually are.

You are taking the verse to literally, the words “she came from the ends of the earth” only means she traveled from a very long distance, and in relation to where Solomon was, it actually took months to go to where he was.
It must have appeared to both Sheba and Solomon as though each of them lived at the ends of the earth.

You are trying to take your Chinese thinking, to understand the English language Interpretation, of a Greek rendering found in the Bible.

Find yourself a Greek – Chinese Interlinear bible.
This book would be (A direct literal Translation from the Greek, into the Chinese).

You say that you use, as one of your reference books.
“The Holy Bible, New International Version, 1973, 1978, 1984, International Bible Society”

If this bible is in English, or is a Translation from English into Chinese, then you are missing a lot of things, because English is not your primary language, there are things which are written in English which you cannot understand because of this.

My wife is German, she learned English in school and speaks English fluently, but when she came to the United States, she found that what she had learned, was totally different.
There are things which I still have to explain to her because of English (Syntax, and Idioms).

And I understand that today’s religious circles are different with their previous situation. Religions had many revolution during the past 1000 years. Even for those who believe in Jesus Christ, there are many groups.

I choose to believe what I have experienced with God. I believe the signs, wonders, miracles (2 Corinthians 12:12) and I believe that I am telling a truth which have sealed (Daniel 12:4, Daniel was told to “…shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end…).
And I also believe Amos 3:7, which says, “Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the Prophets”.
Luke 12:12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.

But I respect your free will. And thanks for all constructive criticisms.

It must have been terrible to go through the things that you have suffered at the hands of wicked and evil people. I pray that God will take away the pain of your past experiences with mind control. I offer you this verse that God gave me, when I was going through a hard time in my life. “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22

I am not an expert on the book of Revelation, but this is what I know about Revelation 12:1-6:

The woman in Revelation 12:1 and 2 represents Israel, or the Jewish people. The sun represents the patriarch Jacob (later called Israel) and the moon represents his wife Rachel. The crown of twelve stars represents the 12 sons of Israel, whose descendants later grew to become the 12 tribes of Israel. It said the woman was pregnant and was in labor. Keep in mind that the woman is the nation of Israel. Jesus, our Messiah, came from that nation. God used a young, Israelite, virgin named Mary to birth His Son, Jesus.

When you get to verses 3 and 4, it changes the subject and starts talking about a dragon. This is not a literal dragon. Some say it symbolizes the great world powers, which demonic forces could use to persecute Israel. That’s all I am going to say about that. In the last half of verse 4, the dragon stands ready to devour the child.

Verse 5 tells us that the woman bore a son (which we know is Jesus), who would rule the heathen with an iron rod. This would come later. First, He would come to be the Savior of the world. When He comes back the second time, then, He will be King over Israel and rule the nations with an iron rod. This means He will have a lot of power and authority over the nations. The child was then caught away. This is referring to the fact that Jesus ascended into heaven after He completed His mission of making a way for people to be saved. He sat down on the right hand of the throne of God, a sign of that completion.

Verse 6 refers to what will happen to Israel during the Tribulation period. Many in the nation of Israel will flee into the desert to a place that God has prepared for them. They will be fed there for about three and a half years, or one thousand two hundred sixty days.

Keep in mind that Jesus was born a Jew. That was His nationality here on earth. He was not birthed from any other nation except Israel.
