If one looks around today they see many Denominations. Each one has what they claim is correct. Some agree on some things and not on others. Some don’t agree with any one but their own group or Denominational teachings.

The question arise then, why ? Why are there so many different Denominations in so called, Christianity ? Why; because man has created his own ways of doing things !

Do you ever read in the Bible any place where it tells you to break up into Denominational sections ? What is it you do read; if you read; in the Bible ?

You read things like what Paul, the apostle to the Gentile word says.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

First, study, then, rightly divide the word of truth. If one does not do this the results is: a workman who will be ashamed before the Lord . By studying the word through rightly dividing it spiritually, one will not stand ashamed before the Lord.

Next we read this :

1Co 2:12-14 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Here Paul is saying much ! First, we receive the Spirit of God that we may know the truth. That is, those who have received His Spirit. Then, the understanding is freely given to those who study in depth with prayer.

Paul then compares man’s teaching as being false when compared to the word of God . The natural man; that is, the man without the Spirit of God within him, women too.

The following statement of Paul’s is, we think, one of the most important of his writings: Comparing the spiritual with the spiritual. You must be aware that the writings of God are spiritual in their purpose. That is, they deal with the inner man; the soul of a person. They are not outward works of men or of denominational views that separate men from men.

Eph 4:1-7 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,With all lowliness and meekness, with suffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

One,one, one! Not many, many. One faith, one hope, one baptism by the Spirit, one Lord, One God, One body of Christ, one who payed the price for this unity that is today lacking for many.

The question may arise then; if there is supposed to be only one group in unity, why does God permit so many ? Because His ways are not our ways.

Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

HOWEVER: He has given us instructions to follow and we are directed to follow what His apostle to the Gentiles tells us !

God is indeed working out His way in all matters on Earth and elsewhere.

Col 1:16-17 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

He is working out His plan despite what man attemps to do on his own .

We have written the short blog in an attempt to have others see the importance of turning to God in truth and not in man’s way. Notice also something that Jesus said that is ignored today.

Mat 19:16-17 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: … .

May this paper be a blessing to those who seek deeply.
