Christian Salvation Teachings

Salvation is necessary because people and things here have become deeply corrupted.

If you were to die tonight, would God accept you in heaven? You would if you are truly IN CHRIST. Find out what salvation means. It means more than just being forgiven. God's salvation most importantly gives us cleansing and a new identity so we may escape eternal judgment and enjoy life in God's family.

Salvation also includes deliverance from curses, healing, the transformation of the mind and ultimately a new body in the resurrection. Call out to God. Turn back to God. Yield to God and let Him work in you.

The world and the people in it are broken, defective and corrupt because of the Fall of Man and the spread of sin to all mankind. Against this dark backdrop, God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save, or rescue sinners (that's you and me).

Salvation is what Jesus did to reverse the effects of the Fall of Man. Everything included in the work of salvation is received through faith. This includes the forgiveness of sins, a new spiritual life, the transformation that comes by the renewing of our mind, divine healing, the resurrection from the dead, deliverance from demons (evil spirits), emotional healing and deliverance from all kinds of CURSES. There is a lot involved in what Jesus did. It was all achieved at the cross where He became our substitute. No other price short of the blood of the pure Son of God was sufficient to pay for all this. We can have these things if we believe. Some of them require patience and some will only be fulfilled in the Age to Come. Nevertheless, it is true to say that God is more willing for us to receive than we are to believe. And this limits the effects of salvation in our lives.

Call out to God. Turn back to God. Yield to God and let Him work in you.

True Faith Leads to Obedience to God

What is true faith in Christ? Are there any ways to know for sure that what YOU call faith is the same as what GOD calls faith? What does the Bible say about the kind of faith that saves people?

The Centrality of the Cross of Christ

It was really good this morning to hear a message preached on the centrality of the cross of Christ. Its something that the Apostle Paul really emphasized in his first letter to the Corinthians.  Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 1:

17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

What Jesus Can Save You From

Before I was saved I often heard Christians saying “if your not already, then you need to be saved!”. Whenever I heard this I would feel deeply confused, looking around as though to confirm to myself that there was nothing physically around me that was threatening my life and so I would think to myself “saved from what?”. I knew Jesus was a saviour but didn’t recognise that I was in need of saving; I just assumed he was someone else’s saviour, of course I was wrong.

Understanding Our Position in Christ

Catch the Glorious Fire – by Ps Paul Quadros – Chapter 1

Can a Christian lose his salvation?

Vast libraries have been written, and hundreds of sermons delivered to assure people who are living contrary to the revealed will of God that they no longer have anything to fear from God in terms of the possibility of judgment.

We have been "so well taught" that salvation is a gift that we have come to think that it is primarily an unconditional entrance into the Kingdom of God and an escape from the fiery judgments of hell.

Do we base this teaching on the BIBLE, or on the TRADITIONS OF MEN?

The Parable of the Man on Fire – by Ps Britt Willliams

Imagine a man and his wife settling in for a nice, quiet, evening of entertainment at their comfortable home in suburban America.  After a sumptuous and gratifying meal, the couple moves to their living room to enjoy conversation before retiring to bed.  Suddenly, they hear a commotion in their front yard.  As they peer through the large framed window, they see a man completely engulfed in flames desperately running in circles on their lawn.  The scene is riveting and shocks the sensibilities of the couple: they can hear the man’s frantic cries, see the skin

Racing to enter Eternal Life

The Race and Pathway to enter Eternal Life

By C. Marie, author of The Holy Spirit and Christian Testimonies, www.theholyspiritacts.com

Life is a hard struggle where we constantly have to suffer and deal with different types of stressful confrontations that keep coming to us on constant flowing machine-like belts that unfortunately get presented to us, individually.

The Holy Spirit

From The Holy Spirit and Christian Testimonies by C. Marie, www.theholyspiritacts.com

As God is a Spirit, Jesus was Him in the flesh.

St. John 10:30, “I and my Father are one.”

1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

As Jesus’s Spirit is the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is our link to God.

Salvation

From “The Holy Spirit and Christian Testimonies by C. Marie, www.theholyspiritacts.com

St. John 1:29, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

Acts 3:19, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;”

Casting Out Demons – Some Lessons from Mark 1:21-28

Jesus is our example. A big part of his ministry was in casting out demons. When the presence of the Lord is manifesting strongly enough, the demons in people start to stir up. Demons often have better knowledge and theology than those who are listening to the message, as we see from this passgae.
