What are you setting before your eyes?

What are you giving your eyes to? What are you feeding on? What is your spiritual diet? Whatever we watch, listen to, read is what we are feeding on. And based on what we are feeding on is what we become.

It is the same as in the natural world, if you eat good food, it becomes part of you and you feel good and do not get sick as easily. If you eat junk food, it also becomes part of you and the end result long term will be a sick body or even death.

You may have heard of the term “inner healing”. This term means different things to different people. The term “healing” is biblical but the term “inner healing” is nowhere found in the Bible. So when someone proposes ministering “inner healing” to you I suggest you first find out what they mean by “inner healing” and what methods they propose to us in order to do this ministry. Not all methods that people use are biblical. Some techniques that people use are rooted more in secular psychology, mysticism or even the occult.

God sees Christians as having been perfected if they are being sanctified!

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

This Scripture refers to a great mystery. It relates to what Jesus Christ of Nazareth achieved by dying on the cross. This is the “one offering” spoken of here.

The Scriptures give many “past tense” declarations concerning things which until now have not been manifested. We don’t see Christians behaving pefectly, walking with God perfectly. And yet, there is a sense in which we are acceptable to God as if we were perfect AS LONG AS WE ARE BEING SANCTIFIED.
