Eternal Life or Eternal Torment

The two possible eternal destinies beyond the grave are graphically mentioned by the Lord Jesus in the following passage:

“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Mt 25:46)

Does God expect us to hear His voice and obey it?

"For I earnestly exhorted your fathers in the day I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, until this day, rising early and exhorting, saying, 'Obey My voice'.

"Yet they did not obey or incline their ears, but everyone followed the dictates of his evil heart; therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant".

Jeremiah 11:7,8

Trust, Obey, Love, and Fear God

From The Holy Spirit and Christian Testimonies by C. Marie, www.theholyspiritacts.com

We have to live by faith in God.

Romans 1:17, “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

2 Corinthians 4:16 and 18, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Sinning versus Knowing God – Bible Study on 1 John 2:1-4

John writes so that we may not sin. And yet we have Jesus Christ going to bat for us before the Father at the times we do sin. In this teaching we look at the great blessing it is to have Jesus as our advocate. At the same time, we examine what John says is the Scriptural test for whether we really know Jesus or not.

Watch Out for False Teachers! 2 Peter 2:1

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Peter 2:1 (KJV)

Even in the early church, when the apostles were still alive,  there were false teachers. How much more today, when there is so much disagreement and confusion in the Body of Christ!

Are you Interested in Eternal Rewards?

There's no doubt in my mind that Jesus Christ calls all his followers today to a life of self-denial, however its important to realize that this is not self-denial for the sake of self-denial.

Just as an athlete denies himself many enjoyable things over a period of time in order to be the best and hopefully win a gold medal and enjoy the rewards that will follow, so we are called to self-denial with a view to ETERNAL REWARDS that will most certainly follow.

Call to Online Prayer

Its my goal through this site to bring God and people together. Jesus did not say, "Study me", he said, "Follow me". This means following after His presence in prayer, and experiencing the miracles He will do in response to prayer. Christianity without answered prayer is a sham. If you believe in a living God, or would like to meet Him, contact the site author on skype: michaelf8888.
