Could Following Rick Warren Take you to Hell?

Rick Warren is a very affable man who understands a lot of things, not only about the Bible, but also about leading and managing human beings.

He is VERY smooth.

I have read his book "The Purpose Driven Church" which came out well before "The Purpose Driven Life".

Rick Warren doesn't speak in tongues, or allow people to speak in tongues in his megachurch.

To fill the spiritual void this creates, he embraces all kinds of New Age spirituality, teachers and philosophies. The proof is easy to document.

Benny Hinn says that Obama is not the Anti-Christ – but a good man, a Christian man

You can watch it on the foxnews video here:

Asked if Obama is the Anti-Christ, Benny Hinn responds:

“… It’s not Obama no.  It’s not Obama. I have been asked that question
many times, and the answer is no.  He is not, he is not the
anti-Christ.  He’s a good man, a Christian man.  I pray for him.  I pray
that God will give him success.  And I pray that he will support his
will.”

Andrew Strom’s recent warning about Rick Joyner, Todd Bentley and others, and the problems with mixing truth and error

While I am on public record as one who warned people about Todd Bentley well before the much publicized scandal of adultery, I believe this latest email of Andrew Strom (see below) is going to widen the split in the charismatic movement and cause Christians to REJECT each other when God has accepted them. If […]

Drunk in the Spirit?

SLOSHED in THE SPIRIT?? – IT’s TIME TO GET SOBER
-by J. Lee Grady.

Getting “drunk in the Holy Spirit” has been a popular concept in
some churches. But is it biblical?

A few years ago a traveling charismatic minister from the West
coast passed through Florida to conduct a series of renewal
meetings. I’d never heard of the guy, but the rumor was that he
carried a “special” anointing. It was unique, that’s for sure –
especially when he took the microphone, slurred his words as if
intoxicated and leaned to the left of the pulpit as if he were about

FINALLY – an apology and repentance from a major Charismatic leader

Site author’s note: It is refreshing that one of the “big name” leaders personally associated with many of the people who foolishly endorsed Todd Bentley has had the guts to talk about it, and raise SOME of the deeper issues that this whole fiasco has highlighted. Let us pray for Dutch Sheets and hope that this will help trigger some pretty serious REPENTANCE and RE-THINKING amongst those who believe they are called to LEAD and TEACH the people of GOD. – MF

A STATEMENT and APPEAL REGARDING LAKELAND
-Dutch Sheets.

Todd Bentley leaves his wife

Todd Bentley has broken up with his wife and has filed for legal separation. How could this happen if his heart was truly filled with the love of God? Whatever was happening at Lakeland obviously was pretty compatible with this kind of thing.

It has come out on freshfire .

Robert Ricciardelli reveals Todd Bentley deliberately defied Rodney Howard Browne

See: http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/07/23/robert-ricciardelli-reveals-todd-bentley-deliberately-defies-rodney-howard-browne/

Rodney Howard Browne met with Todd Bentley early in the Lakeland meetings. ‘My advice to you is do not talk about angels, do not get off on angel Emma, preach the word of God and let’s see what God does.’ And Todd agreed with him.

Are Wagner’s Apostles Leaving? Fallout from Todd Bentley’s lies continues …

Are WAGNER’s APOSTLES LEAVING??
-Andrew Strom.

Last week we published a number of strong statements against
Lakeland by one of Peter Wagner’s ‘apostles’ named Robert
Ricciardelli. For those who are not aware, Peter Wagner heads
up an organization devoted to setting in place “apostles” over the church. This is known as the ‘New Apostolic Reformation’ (NAR), and it has been very controversial. I myself have never seen it as any kind of true “Reformation” – because all it seems to do is set up another level of hierarchy over the existing ones.

Lakeland Deception is Serious

Its sad to say folks, but nowadays many of the leaders in the charismatic movement can no longer be trusted. The love of money, influence, fame, power and zany spiritual experiences has, for many of them, overcome the love of truth, integrity – actually the love for the true God. Whether this expresses itself as endorsement for bizarre and unbiblical practices, support for America’s imperial wars of destruction and mayhem, or enthusiasm for Roman Catholic spirituality – the truth is that we are going to have to choose between following Jesus and following these leaders.

How People Become False Prophets

Jesus told us to watch out for false prophets. If they were powerless to deceive born again Christians, I don’t think Jesus would have told us to “take heed”.

In this article, I show how true Christians can become false prophets. The Bible clearly shows that there are men who start off hearing and obeying the LORD God, who end up as soothsayers and destroyers of God’s people.

The New Testament warns us in 2 Peter 2 and the Book of Jude to watch out for arrogant, money loving preachers. Paul warned us against the times when people would heap up teachers who tell them what their itching ears want to hear. You won’t hear too many expositions of these passages on Christian TV today. What a pity, they were never more needed.
