Christian Baptism - into Christ, in the Holy Spirit, in Water, with Fire

"Baptism" derives from the Greek word "Baptizo", which means "to cause to be dipped or immersed". Rather than translate the word, the translators decided it was too politically explosive and so they just transliterated the the word into English to allow the historical church of the day to define it.

Holy Spirit Manual in various languages

David Crissman from Roseville, CA has over the years done a great work for the Body of Christ. One thing was he actually took a page from this website about the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, and with my permission, he turned it into a manual for use in his church. Pastor Caspar McCloud-Upper Room Fellowship (c) 2009

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit – teaching by John Iuliano

WE BELIEVE that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the bestowing of the believer with power to be an effective witness for Christ. This experience is distinct from, and subsequent to, the New Birth; is received by faith, and is accompanied by the manifestation of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, as the initial evidence – Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,5,8; Acts 2:1-4; 8:15-19; 11:14-17; 19:1-7.

Baptism in Water – by Ps John Iuliano

WE BELIEVE that baptism, by single immersion, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, is enjoined upon all who have repented and have believed in Christ as Saviour and Lord, and that it is symbolic of our identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection – Matt. 28:19,20; Acts. 10:47,28; 2:38,39; Rom. 6:4,5; Col. 2:12; Mark 16:16.

Baptism in Water

Water baptism is commanded by Christ. This article seeks to show from a biblical perspective What It Is, Who it is For, and seeks to bring a balanced perspective in the light of the confusion that has existed on this issue throughout the history of the church.
