TEXT : Ezekiel 34 verses 1-10. Over time in many churches I have seen many leave the church, in the past I also have had to leave the church. I have often wondered what has happened to those people. Shepherds who look after the sheep have an awesome responsibility because they are held doubly accountable to God. When I read this passage I have known many who never received follow up when they left the church, including me and the shepherds need to take it seriously when someone leaves to go see them, discuss, pray and see if they can help. Sadly this does not happen in 99% of churches. I was glad to read later in Ezekiel 34 that the Lord himself will go and find the lost stray and look after them, so it is good to know isn’t it that when men fail, God truly does not leave us or forsake us.God says he will strengthen the weak and bandage the injured. Are you injured? did you leave? Do not be anxious or concerned. Seek the Lord and wait upon him and he will show you the way. Forgive those who have hurt you, especially leaders, because God will deal with those shepherds who have starved their flock and treated them wrongly. Know that the Lord is beside you and it is my hope that you will find a place that you can serve the Lord Jesus in. Be at peace, Deborah.
