Thank you

Thank you for all the prayers and concerns and suggestions. I am only saying one prayer these days. I am still looking but with more confidence and faith in myself, my abilities and in GOD.

The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me;
your love, O LORD, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands

What do YOU think?

    Hi Idaliap

    You Say
“It is difficult in regards to my faith because I feel like I keep knocking, asking, and praying, in having faith trusting in God’s plan for my life.”

    Answer
    Mat 6:6
    6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
    7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
    8) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Being repetitive in prayer isn’t only repeating it at one time, but continually coming to pray for the same thing. You have prayed for what you feel you need, your “FAITH” is demonstrated in your patience, waiting for the answer.

    Heb 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Your hope, and the evidence is shown in your ability to see those things you have prayed for as though you have already received them.
The question for you, or anybody is, when is God going to answer my prayer. The 1st.,2nd.,3rd. time I pray?
When Jesus told someone to rise and walk, they didn’t need to ask 3 times. He would say, as your faith is so let it be unto you. (SAME THING)

    You go on to say
“Also I’m tired of praying for this, I want to stop focusing on myself, and worship God without any requests
“I WANT TO PRAY FOR OTHERS), and I feel like this obstacle is impeding me from doing that because I worry so much about it.”

    Answer
STOP praying for yourself, and your situation, God has heard you, (hasn’t He?)
    START praying for others.
Declare a Fast about praying for yourself, deny your flesh.

    Php 4:19
But “MY” God shall supply all “YOUR” need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Last but by no means least, I don’t know where you live in Canada, but there is an opening in Toronto, at the Wise Law Firm, The Wise Law Build. Toronto.

    • Patty, don’t give up on your prayers! God will bless you. I know it takes a lot of patience but He WILL answer. I graduated college in December and have been applying for months for a job and praying for something to come along. God knows that I’m still living at home and I’ve had so much pressure coming from my family to find something because 1. They’re still paying for a lot of my stuff and I need to start making my own money so I can start helping THEM out. Plus, I want to start using my money to help others. and 2. I don’t really have any work experience other than a bit of babysitting in high school and volunteering as a database analyst a couple times at my cousin’s company. So they’re afraid that employers are gonna be turned off by that and still not having a full time job doesn’t look very good. Well, God blessed me recently with an opportunity to work a small part-time receptionist position. I didn’t even have to apply for it. I got a call from a lady from my church last Friday, asking me to come in that Saturday. I’ve also been called in to work again this Friday and Saturday. Not sure when I’ll be asked to come in after that but this has helped out so much. It’s relieved some of my stress, it’s taking the pressure off of me from my parents, and I’ve been able to start making some of my own money. God is so faithful and good!!

God will find a way to help ease your burdens. Just know you’re not alone!! I will pray for you.

Father, I pray for Patty, that you will bless her very soon with a full-time job in the position she so desires. Lord, please provide her in every way possible. Help relieve any financial burdens she may be facing right now. You are our ultimate Provider and promised us that whatever we ask for in Jesus’ name, believing we have received it, it will be given to us. Lord, please bless her with a job. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

I used to contract after I got Rhuematoid Arthritis because many people would not hire me as a full time permanent staff anymore. My condition being obvious when I went for interviews my Employment Agency suggested I go into contracting. They only keep you for short periods and if you don’t work out they can always let you go.

You can get very discouraged when you go for interview after interview and hear nothing but you need work. I don’t work anymore, I’m now too sick to do so. However God has changed my situation financially so I can live on a small pension with my husband (who also is off work sick at the moment and we are both too young for the old age pension). God has provided regardless of our sickness and inability to work.

God does know your needs and will provide for them. Sometimes you have to be willing to do other things. One time many years ago when work was easier to come by I was not getting any work in my field at that time and we needed money. So I brushed off my resume and put emphasis on the Clerical Work I did before I got into Computing. Actually I did Clerical Work when I first got out of University because I couldn’t get work due to lack of experience all those years ago. So I had to swallow my pride work for less than half the money I used to get per hour in Computing. However, I got a clerical job and it met my needs for six months. It was a fun job and I was not stressed, I really needed the break and my health improved due to the lack of stress. So sometimes God knows better than we do.

Can you apply for something else other than this kind of work? At least you will be working and my Employment Agent always said it was easier to get another job if you are already in one (even if it isn’t in your field).

Praying for the Lord to provide. I know God has always provided for my husbnad and I somehow. Not always how we expected it to come but provision has always been there for all our needs.

    Cheers
    Mel

  6. Dear Patty. I am in England and I have been experiencing the same problem. First, be encouraged. Delay is not denial. I have been praying to GOD OF NOW. What we have is our faith. Hold on your Faith and don’t give up.

    Let us pray.

Dear Lord, remember patty tonight and give her/him a sign of your goodness according to they word in psalms 86:17. Establish her/him oh God and give her the favor you gave to Esther. May you establish her as you established the children of Isreal in Canaan. Let no mountain prevail in her interviews or job search. May the living spirit of God bring forth a job suitable for her now. God there is nothing hard for you for it is not by power nor might but by the holy spirit. As we believe with her together, a prayer of unity, may your will be done for your glory. For, promotion only cometh from you dear lord. You are our light and salvation and we shall fear nothing. We cancel every sexism, racism, ageism, envy, chanes and chambres that may hinder her breakthrough. Let there be divine and supernatural intervention in this situation. May the ressurection power that raised christ be manfested in patty’s situation for the glory of your name. Tonight, may she get hep from your santuary in Jesus name.

Let me know how you are doing patty. I will put you on my prayer list. Pray for me too.
