When Books Are Opened: Your Soul Revealed for All to See

WHEN BOOKS ARE OPENED

God keeps records–of everything. Nothing is too small to escape his notice. Every hair on our heads is numbered (Mt. 10:30), so too, every star (Psalm 147:4). Nothing is too big or too small. God keeps track of all he has created–especially the most important of his creation, the human soul:

“The Lord knows those who are his” (2 Tim. 2:19).

But how does God know this? How can God tell whether or not a person really believes in him and his Son in his heart? He can tell because God can see what is in a person’s heart:

What Shall We Do With Jesus?

What Shall We Do With Jesus?

It is the question of the ages and can be answered in many ways. Six of those ways are examined here.

ONE: We can hide him or proclaim him.

Jesus himself said that those who believe in him are to go out into the whole world and proclaim him as its Savior (Mt. 28:19,20). He is the good news that this dark world needs so desperately to hear.

TAKE A LOAD OFF YOURSELF: FORGIVE THE OFFENDER

I have no intention of covering every aspect of forgiveness. That would take more words than I care to put on this page. I just want to talk about a few things that have come to me lately.

1). A OUOTE

A man named Alexander Pope said these words, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.” What he was saying is this: When someone offends you or sins against you, to forgive that person is a divine attribute of God. It is certainly not the way of the natural man.

2). WHY SHOULD I FORGIVE?

Want Deliverance?

It is one thing to know or suspect that you need deliverance from demons in your struggle against the power of sin. It is another thing sometimes to find a pastor or minister who has time to help. I believe all pastors and church leaders need to begin to get equipped in this area. Then they can equip others to do this vital work. Some of us need refresher courses in this area too.

Our Testimony/Normal Christianity

It might help you understand normal Christianity better if I give you a little of our testimony. I became a believer in ’77 and my wife 3 years previously. We “discovered” that Jesus is just who He says He is and still doing all the same things He did in His earthly ministry: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” We also learned He wanted things done His way, according to what His word says, not “I think” or what religion told us. For instance we saw the promise in Acts 16:31, and by faith (Hebrews 11:1) our parents, brothers and sisters all received Jesus.

The Prophet Hosea Warns America

The storm Sandy is but one disaster of many coming to the United States which will ultimately result in its demise and destruction. How do I know this? Because I have read the biblical book of Hosea. There, God plainly reveals through his prophet what will happen to the nation that abandons him as Israel of old did and as America of today has done. “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us” (Rom. 15:4 NIV).

“These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come” (1 Cor. 10:12 NIV).

The Plate Spinner

We have in UK a TV prog called “Britain’s Got Talent” So you can imagine the scene at the 1st contestant comes on.
“What do you do?”
“Well as you can see I ‘m spinning a plate. Oh just a minute there it goes…..”
“Well OK….er next”
A polite ripple of aplause and……
“What have you got there?”
“I got 2 plates. Great is n’t it?! I keep them up ! I keep them going”
————————————————————————————————
So this goes on 3,4,5,6………………right until there is noone else save 1
