Prayers for Personal Shepherding by God

Confessions of Faith in the This Regard

Proverbs 11 Prayers and Confessions

Lord, you declare that false balances and unjust weights are an abomination to yourself. So, I solemnly commit to do business without cheating or deceiving others, or representing things to be other than the way they really are. I pray you will find delight in the way I do business, in Jesus’ name, Amen. (vs 1)

Lord, open my eyes to the value of lowliness, for “with the lowly is wisdom”. Give me this wisdom. At the same time, I reject the coming of pride, which brings shame. (vs 2)

Prayers for Spiritual Light and Deliverance from Darkness

Jesus, you said, when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth. Dear Spirit of God, guide me today and always into all truth! (John 16:13)

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a LIGHT to my path”. Lord, help me to desire and receive your Word!
(Psalm 119:105)

“Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness.” (Psalm 119:36)

Lord, let the Word of Christ dwell in me richly in all wisdom.
(Colossians 3:16)

Bible-based Prayers for Spiritual Sight

(These prayers can easily be modified on the fly to be a prayer for a loved one or a group of people, as the need requires).

Lord, you declared that you came to proclaim recovery of sight to the blind. (Luke 4:18). Proclaim recovery of sight to MY (inner) eyes, the eyes of my heart!

You sent Paul your servant to “to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” (Acts 26:18).

Bible Based Prayers by Theme

Here we plan to gather some solid Bible based prayers categorized by various themes. There is usually more power in quoting God’s Words back to Him than in just telling God your opinions or desires, not to say that God doesn’t appreciate people speaking from their hearts to Him! Its just that sometimes our hearts and minds are not full of the things that are going to bless God. God DOES honor His Word at all times though.

Thanksgiving for Answered Prayer from Psalm 119

Thank you Lord that you do not let me wander from Your commandments.
(Psalm 119:10)

Thank you Lord that you teach me Your statutes.
(Psalm 119:12)

Thank you Father God that you deal bountifully with me that I may live and keep Your word.
(Psalm 119:17)

Thank You Father God that You open my eyes, that I may see wonderful things from Your law.
(Psalm 119:18)

Thank You Father God that You do not hide Your commandments from me.
(Psalm 119:19)

Thank You Father God that You remove from me reproach and contempt as I keep Your testimonies.

Do not go empty handed to God

When you give your life to Christ, God gives you ALL THINGS that pertain to life and godliness. He has put gifts in you, abilities, potential and blessed you. He loves you with an everlasting love and since He gave Himself to death for you He is also willing to give you all other things.

At the end of your life He is expecting a return on His investment in you. What have you done with all the things He has given you for His glory and the spread of His Kingdom?

How do you treat your days?

The total sum of your days equals your life. What you do with your life is actually a result of what you do with each day of your life… If you gave Jesus your life, then you gave Jesus your days. They are not your own anymore, but they are now tools for Jesus’s best use for His glory and for His Kingdom to expand on the earth. Since they are not your own, you cannot spend your time anyhow, in any way or with anyone, but ask the Jesus of your days to live His life through you each day and go through you where He wants, when He wants, do what He wants, how He wants and with whom He wants.
