The Main Points of the Sermon on the Mount – Part 1

Some of the most important teachings of Jesus Christ are recorded in Matthew’s Gospel, chapters 5 through 7. These teachings have come to be known as “The Sermon on the Mount” because it says in Matthew 5:1 that Jesus ascended the mountain and his disciples came up to hear him.

These teachings are really important because according to Jesus, your long term future is determined by whether you DO or DO not DO the things Jesus instructed here.

Saved by the Light

I’m a 48 year old divorced man. I have two wonderful children which I see on the weekends and the Lord Jesus Christ is first in my life, but it always hasn’t been that way. I was raised in a Methodist Church. We attended service every Sunday and I was active in our youth group. I would get on fire for God after a youth group retreat, but I would slowly drift away upon returning.

When I was eighteen, I joined the Navy and spent the next six years seeing the world. I was about as far away from God as anyone can get.

The bishop of Jashpur talks to AsiaNews about the latest bill to amend the state’s existing anti-conversion law. The Church is not afraid because repression strengthens its faith.

Ex Muslim Terrorist turned Christian tells the truth about islam

SEATTLE, Wash. – Many former Muslims are now involved in efforts to convert believers in Islam to Christianity.

CBN News met with some of them as they linked up with other Christians at the Seattle Revival Center. They trained in how best to reach Muslims and then went out to do just that at the city’s annual Arab Festival.

For some reason, Christians think Muslims are particularly hard to witness to.

The Devil’s Conspiracy to Stop Gospel Preaching

I have realised afresh just how important it is that we actually PREACH the gospel. The full gospel is the power of God to salvation, healing, holiness or whatever part of the message we preach to people. When we PREACH it, then Jesus will do His part and reveal Himself as the one who does according to what we have been truly preaching concerning Him.

The devil knows this, so he has worked a plan to disempower Christians everywhere.

Preaching the Full Gospel Does Minister the Power of God – part 1

Paul says in Romans 1:16 (a):

“I’m not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of every one who believes: …”

Its a common mistake to think that after someone preaches the gospel, God sends the power. But the Bible says that the gospel “is the power of God”. If someone gives you a machine gun, you need to be trained before you can handle it, don’t you? But our wonderful God told you on the day you were saved: “I’ll give you my power to handle!”

What is that power?

The Miracle of Multiplication

Its late at night where I am, and I have to go to work tomorrow, but I want to briefly write about something which I hope will be of benefit to others in the future.

I want to speak about the miracle of multiplication.

Its interesting that God always seems to start small. He only made two humans at the beginning, and during the Great Flood, he arranged for just two animals of each kind to come into the ark, so that the earth would be repopulated.

When Jesus came to earth, He came in Mary’s womb first of all!

Fight the Fight of Faith – do not be Shipwrecked

“This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, having faith and a good conscience, which some having rejected, concerning the faith have suffered shipwreck, of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.” (1 Timothy 1:18-20)

Do you believe in personal prophecy? The Apostle Paul did. He told Timothy that there were prophecies previously made concerning him. These prophecies were weapons by which Timothy could “wage the good warfare”.
