getting to know God

Hello everyone.

I have several questions that I am really having to a hard time understanding.

First of all some background information about myself to better understand where I am coming from. I was raised Catholic. Now I dont do all things that a Catholic by definition should do, but none the less the thing is that I belive in God. Now reading more of the bible, I am faced with many questions. I know that Jesus Christ gave up his life for ours and in having done so there should be no religion God and Christ are not religions but our Saviour.

The bastard curse

Hello to everyone. I am new here and was wondering some things. I was reading up on the bastard curse. On chapter 7 there is some confusion on my behalf that I just really don’t understand and was hoping that someone would explain it to me.

On one of the examples of the bastard curse it says that “God had covenanted with Abram, declaring that he would be the father of many nations. Abram and Sarah faithlessly pre-empted God by taking Hagar and producing the bastard son, Ishmael. Ishmael was cursed. He was not God’s plan.

A Vision of Jesus and His Love

I Saw Jesus! – Karen Templin

I had not been to church for many years, but I had been feeling a strong calling from Jesus. I continued reading other people’s testimonies of Him, also the near death experiences of people who had actually gone to Heaven, and met Him. I could feel myself drawing closer to Him.

Sarah, my seven-year, old daughter had met a new friend in school, and her mother had invited us to church. I said, “Yes.” I was willing to do anything that would draw me closer to Him.

I had felt a calling from Jesus.

Who I Am in Christ

In Christ, I am:

God’s child, for I am born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever.
(1 Peter 1:23).

Forgiven of all my sins and washed in the blood
(Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 9:14, Colossians 1:14, 1 John 2:12, 1 John 1:9)

A New Creature
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

The Temple of the Holy Spirit
(1 Corinthians 6:19)

Delivered from the power of darkness and translated into God’s kingdom.
(Colossians 1:13)

I was found schizofrene by doctors in 2000. According science this ailment is unrecoverable.
Daddy gave me a biografy of rev William Branham (see googles) and after reading I requested a prayercloth from his sons in Indiana Jeffersonville (USA). After covering my heart with it, I was healed!!!!!

Now I am working as a manager at Solidus (accountancy) and am finishing college!

Greetings All

Greetings to all on the board, my name is Ben and I am from South Australia, I belong to the Salvation Army church and have been born again for most of my life, I look forward to getting to know all of you a little better!

what do you think about ABORTION

I belive that Abortion is sin and deliberately killing it would be just as wrong as killing any other innocent human being.
Death of unborn is equal life for life (Ex 21:22-25) As unborn baby is a human being but due to Health effects of the pregnant mother which brings to her mortal risk e.t.c what do you think about ABORTION??
God bless you

Update on our situation – prayer requested

Dear friends,

We have returned to Australia. Whilst the ministry overseas has been quite fruitful, and continues to be so under able leadership appointed there, we have experienced a lot of personal losses and disappointments.

At the moment we are staying in houses of friend – me, my wife and daughter. We can’t secure our own place until we get all our accounting in, or if I am able to get a job. We are very busy also moving around and caring for our 2 year old. So far, I have been interviewed but not accepted for employment.

Does God do it all?

“Well done good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)

“He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

Every now and then theological ideas come up which emphasize God’s part in our lives to the exclusion of all else. It sounds spiritual when someone who is complimented on a good work says, “No, it was really God who did it all”. It sounds like a humble way of giving all the glory to God. But this kind of talking is unscriptural, because while God may work through us, He generally requires our active co-operation.
